Warehouse opening at the podium

The warehouse store in podium finally opened today and surprisingly, not that much people were coming in to check out the stuff. Well, considering i was pretty late, (I arrived at around 1:30 pm since my bf had car probs) maybe i just came it at a not-so-busy time of the day. Still, it's the first day! I was actually imagining more of a crowd. But anyway, i am quite undecided about whether i love this store or not. The clothes were okay, nothing great actually. Very similar to zara and mango... hmmm.. perhaps more like a UK version of mango (at least that's what i think!) Well, suffice it to say topshop still has more of an edge to me. The accessories were quite nice in a very simple, classic approach. They had tarpaulins of the opening all over the mall and the model is undeniably high profile (Anouck Lepère). This is in comparison to topshop's quirky model choices which i find more refreshing! Here is a picture of the tarpaulin ad and pics of the new store.

As I went in, shirley (the manager who invited me to come, she used to be at topshop glorietta) greeted me so cheerfully that i felt obliged to get something, haha! But i really wanted to buy/hoard stuff anyway to be ahead of the fashion pack.(but of course! *wink*) I really did try on so many tops and dresses but nothing ended up that much to my liking. However, i did fall in love with this suede-trimmed elastic waisted belt. (sorry for the crappy picture, hurriedly took this a minute ago)

It has this modern 80's vintage vibe which i imagine would look really nice with a lot of outfits. (the pic really doesn't give justice to the belt hahaha) It was the only perfect stock left too (the other one there on the mannequin looked scuffed on the suede round part) and although it was quite pricey at P1,495.00 (around $30), I think the feel of the belt was worth it!

All in all, the warehouse store is a good addition to the host of high street stores popping up in manila. It's prices are similar to mango and the quality seems matched to the price. Hopefully, i will find more things to love in their future collections. Oh yeah, be prepared to pay in cash, bpi card, or mastercard as the store has yet to accept visa.

**went to mall of asia to get the stuff i reserved from topshop, but will post about it tomorrow. need to get me some shuteye as of the moment. :) goodnight gals!**
